HIKARI SUSHI is a sushi restaurant concept that merges modern elegance with deep-rooted Japanese aesthetics. The goal was to craft a brand identity and an intuitive digital presence that would not only inform but entice visitors to book a table or visit the location.

Sushi restaurant websites often feel cluttered and impersonal, missing the elegance and cultural depth of Japanese cuisine. Hikari Sushi needed a design that felt warm, refined, and culturally resonant without heavy text.

To create a seamless and memorable digital experience that captivates visitors, highlights the artistry of the cuisine, and encourages exploration and engagement with the brand.

Combining sleek aesthetics with traditional Japanese elements, HIKARI SUSHI delivers a refined, mobile- and web-friendly digital presence that captivates visitors.
Inspired by Bento grids, the layout reflects Japanese principles of order and balance, guiding element placement while evoking calm and precision.

The interface is intentionally image-forward. It favors visuals, icons, and color over dense blocks of text, making it naturally multilingual-friendly and easier to absorb.
User testing with 14 participants showed 78% task success, with users praising the intuitive navigation and clear visual hierarchy. The design aligned with WCAG AA accessibility standards, ensuring readability and usability for all users.
